Knicks 107, Trail Blazers 103: Scenes from a real live wire contest

New York got blitzed early as Portland came out splashing everything. They were able to hang in there early on, in part due to some bucket-getting from Carmelo Anthony. The middle quarters brought some more spirited attacks and gallops with Brandon Jennings spearheading a raucous tempo that the Knicks seemed to enjoy. Then Kristaps Porzingis started throwing some meteors and he just overwhelmed the Blazer defenders.

Derrick Rose did his best to call his own number and incorporate a cold Melo down the stretch of the game. Porzingis’ touches dried up completely. Evan Turner started to look like his typical Knick-killer self.
