Kevin Durant’s silence could be a sweet sound to Knicks fans’ ears.
The Warriors star hasn’t spoken to the media since the Knicks traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Mavericks last week, freeing up enough cap space to sign two free agents to max contracts this summer.
Durant did not talk to the media at Golden State’s shootaround Monday prior to the Warriors’ home game against the Spurs. According to The Athletic, Warriors PR officials attempted to get Durant to answer questions from the media Tuesday, but he refused to oblige.
The last time he did something like this was back in November, when he and Draymond Green had a testy exchange on the bench that led to a Green one-game suspension.
