While Julius Randle was working on the court at Madison Square Garden Thursday night, methodically leading the Knicks to a first-half-of-the-season-ending dismantling of the Detroit Pistons, Kevin Durant was selecting him for Team Durant in Sunday’s All-Star Game.

On the floor, Randle put together another performance that displayed the All-Star credentials, eliciting chants of "M-V-P" from the crowd and scoring 27 points, grabbing 16 rebounds and handing out seven assists in the Knicks' 112-104 win over the Pistons.
