It didn’t take long for Josh Hart to react to the news that Donte DiVincenzo had agreed to sign a four-year, $50 million deal with the New York Knicks. In back-to-back years, the Knicks have added an unrestricted free agent from Villanova.
New York’s sights were set on DiVincenzo leading up to the start of free agency, and to help with the team’s financial flexibility, Hart exercised his $12.96 million player option for 2023-24. Hart knew what was coming.
After posting an edited picture of himself, DiVincenzo, and Jalen Brunson together in Knicks jerseys, Hart made a public recruiting pitch to Mikal Bridges.
