The Nets got their first nationally televised game of the season, their first chance to show how much they supposedly had improved. Instead, what they got was a nightmare, a 108-91 loss to the Knicks. How bad was it? Mild-mannered Joe Johnson was ejected for the first time in his 15-year NBA career.
“I’ve never been ejected from a game. I don’t have no history of being a dirty player or anything of that sort. I don’t have a comment on it, honestly,’’ said Johnson, who had played 1,079 games before Friday without being tossed.
