The Atlanta Hawks will not match the New York Knicks' four-year, $71 million offer sheet to restricted free agent Tim Hardaway Jr., league sources told ESPN on Saturday.
The Hawks, who had two days to match the offer, plan to notify the NBA and Knicks later Saturday, the sources said.
Hardaway, a 25-year-old shooting guard, has spent the past two seasons in Atlanta after spending his first two in New York.
New York's offer sheet includes an unusual provision requiring the team to pay 50 percent of Hardaway's annual salary by Oct.
