Gregg Popovich on NBA schedule plan: ‘I have bigger fish to fry’

The NBA is reportedly considering some of the biggest changes in league history, including a 30-team in-season tournament, playoff re-seeding and a reduction of regular season games from 82 to 78.

At least publicly, the massive potential shake-up provoked little feedback from some coaches.

“I don’t care. Whatever they do, they do. I have bigger fish to fry,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said before the Spurs’ 111-104 win over the Knicks on Saturday. “[Commissioner Adam] Silver will work at that stuff and do his best job with all his colleagues, and I will offer no advice because they’re a lot smarter than me.
