Former New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony hopes team retires No. 7

On Tuesday night, Carmelo Anthony had to chance to portray his talents against his former team. The Trail Blazers took on the New York Knicks at home, a game in which Portland came away with a 115-87 win. In 25 minutes, Melo finished with 16 points and four rebounds.

After the game, the veteran forward was asked about the thought of his Knicks jersey potentially being hung in the rafters at Madison Square Garden. Ultimately, the former Knicks star hopes it happens at some point.

“Do I think about it? Anybody would want to get that opportunity if it’s there,” Anthony said, per Marc Berman of the New York Post.
