Cheery Carmelo Anthony: ‘I’m here to stay’ — for a long time

WEST POINT — As the Knicks broke training camp at Army on Saturday, Carmelo Anthony’s left knee held up better than rookie Kristaps Porzingis’. Go figure.

Anthony, coming off major left-knee surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon, didn’t miss a single session after a week of two-a-days. Porzingis returned to practice for Saturday’s finale but had missed two straight days with knee soreness.

Anthony was in great spirits to get through camp with no incident and suggested he is eyeing a longer career than people expect.

Anthony wore his camouflage “A’’ cap, departing Christl Arena for good.
