Carmelo Anthony, who spent seven seasons in New York, will participate in an informal workout with Knicks players on Thursday in New York City, a source confirmed.
Anthony’s presence at the workout doesn’t mean much and isn’t an indication that he is returning to the Knicks, the source said. Anthony spends a lot of time in New York and has been known to work out with numerous players. The Knicks also have 15 players under contract for the upcoming season and don’t have an open roster spot for the free-agent Anthony.
Sports Illustrated was first to report that Anthony, a 10-time All-Star, would participate in the workout.
