Amar’e Stoudemire wants one more NBA shot

Don’t call it a career for Amar’e Stoudemire just yet.

Despite having retired from the NBA in 2016, Stoudemire told The Michael Kay Show on Wednesday that he’s considering a return.

“That would be reality,” Stoudemire reportedly said when asked whether he’s thinking comeback.

At 35 years old, two seasons removed from playing in the NBA, that might be more fantasy than reality. Stoudemire is playing in the Big 3 this summer — and played with Hapoel Jerusalem in Israel during the 2016-17 season — but whether any NBA teams have interest in the former Knicks power forward is a different question altogether.
