The league, in an effort to crack down on teams losing with a purpose, bumped down the worst team’s odds to win the draft lottery — from a staggering 25 to 14 percent — just in time for the most hyped sweepstakes in nearly a decade.
There were 193 games of misery between the Knicks, Suns and Cavaliers in 2018-19 — and only the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 picks, respectively, to show for it on Tuesday night.
