Knicks News: New York Re-Signs Sasha Vujacic To One-Year Deal

The New York Knicks have re-signed guard Sasha Vujacic to a one-year deal worth $1.41 million, the veteran minimum, according to multiple reports.

Vujacic will serve as the backup shooting guard to Courtney Lee this season, giving them a veteran leader on their bench unit. He played in 65 games last season - including 25 starts - and averaged 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Vujacic has earned the trust of team president Phil Jackson over the years, playing six seasons under him while with the Los Angeles Lakers, including winning the 2009 and 2010 NBA titles.

After spending three of the previous four seasons overseas, Vujacic returned to the NBA to play for the Knicks last season on a one-year deal. He has also played for the Nets and the Clippers.
