Our Knicks news update for August 14th:
Superstar Carmelo Anthony's reported frustration aside, the New York Knicks' solid offseason both during the 2015 NBA Draft and NBA free agency period has sparked some optimism from people around the league.
That includes the one and only Charles Barkley:
"Carmelo is not the reason the Knicks aren't winning, he's the only reason why they're on TNT..I expect them to make the playoffs" Barkley

The Eastern Conference was an absolute mess in 2014-15, with the bottom half of the playoff bracket (and playoff chase) dotted with below .500 teams with major flaws.
After a solid reload this offseason and with a returning Carmelo Anthony on board, it may not be crazy at all to slot the Knicks in at the bottom of the 2016 NBA Playoffs Eastern Conference bracket -- irregardless of the team's struggles this past season.
