Knicks Rumors: Steve Kerr Offers Sympathy For Phil Jackson, Derek Fisher

The New York Knicks have the worst record in the NBA this season at 5-35, and find themselves as the punchline of jokes around the league.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who was the leading candidate for the Knicks job before accepting the Warriors offer, is singing a different tune, offering sympathy for his friends Phil Jackson (Knicks President of Basketball Operations) and Derek Fisher (Knicks head coach).

“I totally feel for [Fisher]. The NBA is a roller coaster. It’s really fun when you win, really devastating when you lose,” Kerr said. “Unfortunately it’s part of the gig, and I guarantee you I’m going to be facing that at some point in my career.”

Kerr has led Golden State to the NBA's best record at 29-5.

New York will try to snap their 15-game losing streak Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
