Knicks Rumors: Pistons Could Target Pablo Prigioni In Trade

The New York Knicks have been trying to deal backup point guard Pablo Prigioni for a while, and now they may have found a partner.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Detroit Pistons have expressed interest in Prigioni after losing Brandon Jennings for the season with a ruptured Achilles.

The Knicks are looking to deal Prigioni for a second-round pick, according to Adam Zagoria of SNY.tv, as the 37-year-old isn’t a part of the team’s long-term plans. He has been unseated in the rotation by Langston Galloway, an undrafted rookie from St. Joseph’s, who was recent call up from the D-League.

Backup point guard D.J. Augustin is now starting for the Pistons, but rookie Spencer Dinwiddie is now being relied on to play reserve minutes.

Prigioni is averaging 4.8 points and 2.5 assists in 18.8 minutes per game.
