Knicks Rumors: Phil Jackson Says New York Will "Do Some Judicious Shopping" In Free Agency

The New York Knicks are looking to improve their team quickly through free agency, but president Phil Jackson said the team won't necessarily go after all of the big name, high priced players:

"We have to do some judicious shopping. [But] we won't go to the dollar store."

Jackson also stressed that star forward Carmelo Anthony will help recruit free agents to join him in Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks have enough cap space to sign two players to max contracts, and they've been heavily linked to Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol and Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, both of whom will be free agents this offseason.
