Knicks Rumors: New York Willing To Trade Its First-Round Pick Depending On Spot

The New York Knicks will pick up a high draft pick when the NBA Draft Lottery commences in June, and exactly where that pick falls for the 17-65 Knicks could dictate whether they use it themselves or trade it away.

Via ESPN:

Phil Jackson has said he will likely keep the pick if it falls within the top four, but will consider dealing the pick if it falls to No. 5. Of course, Jackson could change his thinking between now and draft night. League sources with knowledge of the Knicks' thinking said last month that the team would be very open to trading the pick if it falls outside the top two.

The Knicks are said to have eyes on the prospect trio of Karl Anthony-Towns, Jahlil Okafor, and Emmanuel Mudiay. So, it's possible that they'll hold onto the pick even if it lands at three. However, it's anyone's guess from there if they fall farther down the draft order.
