Knicks Rumors: Amare Stoudemire Committed To Signing With Mavericks

The New York Knicks officially waived forward Amare Stoudemire, who is committed to signing with the Dallas Mavericks.

Stoudemire is expected to clear waivers on Wednesday since no one wants to take on the remainer of the $23 million he's owed this season, and after which he is free to sign with any team.

The Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, and Atlanta Hawks were all making strong pushes to sign the veteran big man, but he has reached an agreement in principle with the Mavs to sign a one-year deal for the veterans minimum on Thursday.

Stoudemire is averaging 12 points and 6.8 rebounds in 24 minutes per game so far this season.
