Knicks News: 7th Straight Loss Takes Its Toll On Carmelo Anthony

New York Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony had his best night so far in the triangle offense on Friday, scoring a league-high 46 points on 26 shots against the Utah Jazz.

However, Trey Burke's miracle shot ripped the hearts out of the Knicks and the fans at MSG, handing New York its seventh straight loss, 102-100.

“I just couldn’t believe it,” Anthony said, via Ian Begley of ESPN New York. “Just disbelief.”

Anthony did everything he could to provide a different result for the Knicks, scoring 17 points in the 4th quarter (including a circus 3-pointer off glass that tied the game late).

“I was just trying man. I don’t like to lose and tonight was just one of those games trying to will our way to win,” he said after the game.

Anthony was extremely truthful when asked if the long losing streak, including home losses to Orlando and Utah, is taking its toll.

“It can easily wear on you a lot,” Anthony said. “Right now, we feel like we’re losing games we should win. The thing about it, we’re losing here at home, so that makes it hurt even more. At the end of the day, man, what can we do?”
