WR Tyler Johnson Added to Roster as Vera-Tucker Heads to IR

As the Jets prepare for their season opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers tomorrow afternoon at MetLife Stadium, they’ve added wide receiver Tyler Johnson to their 53-man roster.

We've elevated WR Tyler Johnson for Sunday's game and placed OL Alijah Vera-Tucker on injured reserve.

Johnson will take the place of injured guard Alijah Vera-Tucker who will miss the entire 2025 season after tearing his triceps in practice just a few days ago.

Adding Johnson should come as no surprise given the fact that he was one of the first names mentioned by GM Darren Mougey when meeting with the media about the roster.
