Might “Revis Island” catch a break Thursday night?
Bills star receiver Sammy Watkins is officially listed as “questionable” for the Jets’ primetime AFC East showdown in Buffalo. But that doesn’t necessarily mean he won’t still be a factor.
Though Watkins was unable to practice all week because of pain and soreness in his surgically repaired left foot, Watkins told local media he’s “definitely” playing.
Darrelle Revis kept the speedy receiver in check during their first meeting of 2015, limiting Watkins to just three catches on seven targets for 14 yards (and two drops). But in their Week 17 rematch, Watkins had 136 receiving yards on 11 catches — and six of those passes, totaling 96 yards, were caught on Revis.
