Why the Jets defense can't keep following its current blueprint

Last week, the Jets defense papered over the cracks with four takeaways and a victory. But on Sunday, in a 37-17 loss to the Vikings at MetLife Stadium, the Jets had neither of those things.

And that made it apparent: the Jets defense just isn't playing nearly well enough to beat the NFL's better teams right now.

Over the past four games, the Jets have allowed 400 yards or more three times. They've given up 30 or more points three times.

They've allowed an average of 420.8 yards.
