The New York Jets are not in the playoffs, but their coaches won’t have to wait long to get back on the field as the Jets’ staff is set to be one of the two running the 2022 Reese’s Senior Bowl.
Normally, the Senior Bowl is coached by the two teams with the worst records the previous year with returning coaches. By these rules, the Jets would have been out of the running, but uncertainty elsewhere in the league has blessed the Jets with a massive opportunity.
The Jaguars, owners of the league’s worst record and the top pick in the NFL draft, were ineligible after firing former coach Urban Meyer mid-season.
