What we learned from Jets' spring practices | Surprises, standouts, injury concerns, QB progress

Safety Marcus Maye (ankle), wide receiver Terrelle Pryor (ankle), receiver Charone Peake (ankle), and receiver Devin Smith (knee) missed the entire spring with injuries. It's uncertain if any of them will be ready for the start of training camp in late July. Pryor is especially intriguing, since he is new to the Jets. He has been making progress, but his status for the start of camp is 50/50. Cornerback Morris Claiborne (wrist) is in the same boat, after getting hurt during spring practices. Ditto for outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins (shoulder), though both Claiborne and Jenkins are optimistic they'll be ready for Day 1 of camp.
