Joe Douglas’ Jets staff won’t have Todd McShay on it.
The ESPN NFL draft analyst decided to remain with the network compatriot Chris Mortenson tweeted on Thursday, taking himself out of the running for a potential personnel role with the Jets and his former Richmond teammate-turned-GM.
According to Mortenson, McShay had no other comment at this point.
The announcement comes almost a week after McShay told ESPN, “[Joe Douglas] is considering multiple options, and I’m one of them.”
Douglas, introduced as the Jets’ GM this week, will have to watch the Worldwide Leader to get McShay’s draft intel, just like everyone else.
