CLEVELAND — The Jets’ 2017 draft class took another hit on Wednesday, when the team cut wide receiver ArDarius Stewart. It was the latest sign that class is not going to be a memorable one, but the current group of rookies provides hope that the 2018 class will be better.

First-round pick Sam Darnold is the headliner, of course. Ultimately, all will be forgiven for general manager Mike Maccagnan when it comes to his draft mistakes if Darnold becomes the franchise quarterback the Jets have been searching for.
