Personal history was made for the New York Jets on Sunday, who truly took it to the playoff-contending Oakland Raiders.
Sam Darnold threw for 315 yards and was responsible for three touchdowns on the afternoon. The defense, on the other hand, kept the Oakland offense in check en route to a 34-3 victory on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
Oakland jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after a Daniel Carlson field goal on their first drive. They then went on to snap the Jets’ streak of games with a touchdown on their opening offensive possession.
