The Jets will have a new punter for today's game against the Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Steve Weatherford, signed Saturday while Ryan Quigley (right shin) was placed on the injury report as questionable, will punt for the Jets.
Weatherford, who will also hold for Nick Folk's placements, is wearing uniform No. 3.
Weatherford was the Jets punter for the 2009 and '10 seasons. His last game as the Green & White punter was the 2010 AFC Championship Game at Pittsburgh. Quigley had punted in 35 consecutive games for the Jets since Game 3 of the 2013 season against Buffalo.
