The New York Jets visited with one of Rex Ryan's castoffs on Tuesday -- former Buffalo Bills running back Karlos Williams, a league source confirmed.
Williams was released by the Bills this past Saturday and cleared waivers. He was a productive player as a rookie, but he was out of shape and received a four-game suspension in July for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He made headlines in the offseason when he said he gained weight because of his pregnant fiancee's food cravings.
The Jets' interest in Williams is only preliminary; no deal is imminent.
