Should Jets fans be worried about Marcus Maye’s health?

New Jack City won’t be at full strength to start training camp. The Jets announced on Monday that safeties Marcus Maye and Brandon Bryant have been placed on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list prior to the start of camp.

The Jets seemed to have thought that Maye would be good to go by now. He participated in some drills while remaining limited during minicamp, which was a good sign he’d be healthy soon. Maye said himself in a press conference that he expected to be ready by day one.

Adam Gase said that the Jets were being cautious with Maye, and seemed to believe there was hope he’d be ready to play by the start of camp.
