Scapegoating Todd Bowles ignores bigger Jets problems

THE FRIENDLY SKIES – The Jets suffered a miserable 24-17 loss to the Texans in Houston on Sunday to fall to 5-5, dealing a severe blow to their playoff hopes. Here are some thoughts and observations on the loss:

1. First-year coach Todd Bowles has not had a good run during the last five weeks when the Jets have one win against four losses. There is no debating he was outcoached Sunday as Texans coach Bill O’Brien showed a creative, imaginative game plan coming off a short week while Bowles’ team came out flat and uninspired again.
