Jets fans are well aware of Gardner’s habit of tweeting, deleting, and reposting his opinions, and he was back at it again on Monday. This time, Gardner appeared to take an unprompted shot at his former team following the firing of defensive coordinator Steve Wilks.
In a — you guessed it — since-deleted tweet, Gardner praised Wilks, calling him “one of the best and smartest defensive coordinators in the NFL,” before appearing to take a jab at his former team with a final line that read, “it's not always what it seems.
