Late in practice, Darnold had an absolutely fantastic deep sideline throw to Chad Hansen. Darnold put nice zip on his pass, and placed it where only Hansen could get it. Darnold dropped the ball right over the coverage of safety Kacy Rodgers II. Just a perfect throw on so many levels — pacing, placement, precision.
Once again, the Jets' coaches didn't ask the quarterbacks to take a lot of deep shots. We just mentioned one really nice deep shot Darnold had ... and hit on. For the most part, Darnold continued to look poised on Tuesday. The ball comes out of his hand quickly.
