When the New York Jets signed Justin Fields to a two-year, $40 million contract this offseason, they were under no illusion that he would be the long-term quarterback solution in Florham Park.
While Fields has shown flashes as a QB over the years, the former first-round pick has never quite been able to put it all together. He often pairs highlight-reel throws and runs with bone-headed mistakes and inconsistent accuracy, which is a large reason why he's already a member of his third NFL team.
But perhaps no statistic better represents the frustration fans feel watching Fields play quarterback than one revealed by NFL analyst Warren Sharp this week.
