Rex Ryan has gone from quarterback hell with the Jets to “quarterback purgatory” with the Bills, and that’s according to the team’s general manager.
Buffalo GM Doug Whaley told WGR Radio that the team is in a difficult situation in the most important position in the sport.
“We are almost in quarterback purgatory. We’re good enough that we won’t be picking 1st or 2nd overall,” Whaley said.
The Bills’ quarterback competition this training camp is between first-round bust E.J. Manuel, veteran Matt Cassel and career backup Tyrod Taylor. Ryan may be dreaming of the days of Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith.
