The New York Jets are set to have 18 players become unrestricted free agents this offseason.
For the Jets, cap space will be no issue when it comes to retaining any of these free agents. Over The Cap projects New York to have the fifth-most cap space in the NFL ($48.1 million) while the team can open up more space through a few cuts.
Whether the Jets retain each free agent will come down to two deciding factors.
The most important factor is the difference between the value that New York sets on each player compared to the best offer the player has on the market.
