It’s been nine days since former New York Jets and current Buffalo Bills linebacker IK Enemkpali punched quarterback Geno Smith during a locker room altercation, sidelining Smith for 6-10 weeks with a broken jaw. The Jets made the right call and immediately released Enemkpali, but the NFL has been silent regarding any potential additional punishment he might face.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting the league is currently reviewing the Enemkpali case for potential discipline. Some people have believed the NFL is not be able to dish out any punishment of their own since he’s already been punished by the Jets, but the NFL has said that’s not the case.
