New York Jets trade Steve McLendon to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Report)

The New York Jets have traded Steve McLendon to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

The move comes immediately following the team’s embarrassing 24-0 loss to the Miami Dolphins down south. Now at 0-6, general manager Joe Douglas has sent a team captain to a familiar face in Bucs defensive coordinator Todd Bowles.

McLendon, 34, spent four-plus seasons with the Jets. Signing in 2016, his first three seasons in New York happened under Bowles.

McLendon has tallied 10 tackles in six games played in 2020 and finishes his Jets career with 7.
