New York Jets survive the New York Giants in feel-good victory

The New York Jets have endured heartbreak after heartbreak this season. They’ve seen more misfortune and sheer dysfunction through eight games than most organizations deal with in a decade.

But at least for one week, there is a reason to celebrate.

The Jets edged out their crosstown rivals, the New York Giants, by a final score of 34-27 to secure just their second victory of the season. Gang Green got off to a thrilling start jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to two impressive offensive drives.

Head coach Adam Gase pushed all the right buttons as the offense drove down the field on consecutive possessions with relative ease against a shoddy Giants defense.
