Victories are hard to come by for the depleted New York Jets these days. They did, however, take another negative landmark off their grievance list.
The Jets’ mangled offense reached the end zone for the first time since Sept. 8 early in the final frame of Sunday’s visit to Philadelphia. Their six-pointer was scored via a reverse by receiver Vyncint Smith.
A fake handoff to Le’Veon Bell became the toss to Smith, who went in for the second touchdown of his NFL career. The score came from 19 yards out and cut the host Eagles’ lead to 24-6.
