It’s almost as if somebody wiped the New York Jets offensive coaching staff’s memories completely clean after the New England Patriots game. After taking huge chunks from Bill Belichick’s defense all night, the Jets opened up the Los Angeles Chargers game with an ultra-conservative gameplan.
Such a strategy doesn’t work if the defense is playing aggressively and begging the offense to beat them over the top.
It ultimately led to a 24-6 halftime deficit, but the Jets quickly changed their tune to open up the second half when Joe Flacco found Breshad Perriman for a 49-yard score.
