The New York Jets had room to add three players to their roster ahead of the season-opener in Buffalo – one open spot left on their 53-man roster and two spots open via the new league-wide luxury of being able to promote two players to the active roster from the practice squad each week.
Quarterback Mike White has been promoted as the 53rd player on the active roster and will back up Sam Darnold in Week 1, pushing James Morgan to QB3. White will hold down the backup role until Joe Flacco‘s return.
