New York Jets open Day 3 of NFL Draft with TE Trevon Wesco

It took a little bit of movement, but the New York Jets finally made their first pick on the NFL Draft’s final day. The team wound up selecting West Virginia tight end Trevon Wesco with the 121st overall pick.

Wesco has primarily made his mark as a blocking tight end. He began his football career at small school Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania before transferring to Morgantown in 2016. His size and strength were well discussed, as he turned into one of the strong blockers in the nation.

He had just two receptions over his first two seasons as a Mountaineer, one of which was a six-yard touchdown.
