New York Jets get revenge against the Miami Dolphins on last-second field goal

The New York Jets won a figurative war of attrition on Sunday afternoon when the outlasted the Miami Dolphins 22-21 in a field-goal-filled game.

In a matchup that featured 11 field goal attempts, it was only fitting that the game was ultimately decided by a 44-yard game-winning field goal from Jets kicker Sam Ficken. It wasn’t a pretty victory, but it was a victory nonetheless.

The Jets led 16-9 at the half courtesy of a Ficken field goal and two Sam Darnold passing touchdowns. It was an up-and-down game for the young quarterback who excelled in the first half but took a step back in the second half.
