New York Jets final 53-man roster prediction: Improved depth is key

Welcome to the “improved depth” edition of the New York Jets 53-man roster. It’s not the final step in building a competitive roster; not by any means. But it’s one of the first (critical) parts en route to the desired destination.

Joe Douglas‘ first draft class as a big-boy NFL general manager will be heavily scrutinized in 2020. Thus far some of his rookies have shown extraordinary production at training camp.

Mekhi Becton, the organization’s first first-round offensive line selection since 2006, is the first key piece. Ashtyn Davis, the athletic one who continually makes eye-popping plays in Florham Park, NJ, is another big factor.
