A serious Mekhi Becton injury would have been something that travels far beyond cruel. New York Jets fans are already dealing with a ridiculous number of injuries, especially to Joe Douglas’s first NFL draft class.
It seems they have escaped this one.
Head coach Adam Gase told the media on a Monday conference call that Becton’s MRI came back clean and that he has a chance to play Thursday night against the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium.
“The MRI and everything turned out better than really we were thinking [Sunday] night,” Gase said.
