Mike Ditka says he hasn't seen oppression in last 100 years

PHILADELPHIA -- As NFL players continue to take a knee, raise fists or otherwise silently protest racial inequality and silently advocate for criminal justice reform during The National Anthem, it seems everyone has an opinion on the gestures to the point of controversy.

Hall of Fame former Chicago Bears and New Orleans head coach Mike Ditka, who spent two seasons of his playing career with the Eagles, chimed in with the suggestion that he has not seen any inequality or oppression in this country over the last century.

"All of a sudden, it's become a big deal now, about oppression," Ditka said, during a radio interview with Jim Gray prior to Monday night's game between the Bears and Minnesota Vikings.
