Two weeks after making his NFL debut, Victor Ochi has been waived by the Jets, the team announced Saturday.
Ochi the Valley Stream native and former Stony Brook edge rusher, only played a handful of snaps at outside linebacker during his two games with the Jets. He had one tackle, which came in his debut against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 23.
Ochi joined the Jets’ practice squad on Sept. 12, a little more than a week after the undrafted free agent was waived by the Ravens during roster cut-downs. The Jets promoted him to their active roster the day before the game against the Ravens.
