Like Bill Belichick, Jets warn players about fumbling for a touchback

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Bill Belichick received pats on the back earlier in the week when it was revealed that he actually has a team policy that forbids players from extending the ball at the pylon while crossing the goal line, lest they fumble for a touchback. (See: Derek Carr.) Everyone had the same response: That Belichick, he thinks of everything.

The New York Jets, too, have made it a point of emphasis.

Offensive coordinator John Morton said he always reminds his players, "Score with the ball.
